2010 10-Year Watershed Management Plan (Jellums Lake)

TMDL Plan

Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) is a regulatory term in the U.S. Clean Water Act, describing a value of the maximum amount of a pollutant that a body of water can receive while still meeting clean water standards. States are required to identify water bodies that do not meet clean water standards and develop plans to restore these impaired waters.

Ten lakes within the District—East Boot, Fish, Goose, Hay, Jellum’s, Long in Scandia, Loon, Louise, Mud and South Twin—are on the list of impaired waters. The TMDL Plan outlines water quality improvement activities for these lakes.
