Watershed District Seeks Two Board Managers

Big Marine Lake Association’s (BMLA) work addressing Eurasian Water Milfoil will be featured in a high quality report prepared by the Initiative Foundation.  BMLA, utilizing a $48,000 Foundation grant over four years along with additional support from the CMSCWD, County and Big Marine property owners has made significant progress, reducing concentrations of EWM from about 40 acres to 5.  The report documenting strategies, methods, outcomes and current activities will be made available to the Lessard-Sams Council and State Legislature.
The BMLA Board will hold its fall Board meeting 6:30 PM August 29, 2019 at the Scandia Community Center.  Association members and the public are invited.

The Carnelian Marine St. Croix Watershed District (CMSCWD) is governed by a seven-member Board of Managers.  The Managers preside over the business of the Watershed District. Working as part of the board, a manager helps direct the activities of the District, sets policy, guides staff, and makes key decisions on District priorities.

The Washington County Board of Commissioners appoints CMSCWD Board Managers from nominees provided by municipalities that are wholly or partially in the District. Currently the Washington County Board of Commissioners is seeking nominations for two CMCSWD Board Managers to be submitted by the municipalities by November 27th, 2019.

Interested candidates are encouraged to complete the Watershed Application below and contact the municipality in which they reside to express interest in being nominated for the position.
