Bass Lake is a shallow lake in the Carnelian Creek flowage. In-lake phosphorus concentrations are better than the MPCA shallow lake standard of (60mg /L). Lake water quality is highly dependent on the quality of Carnelian Creek which flows through Bass Lake. Citizens are primarily interested in raising or at least maintaining water levels and the impacts of wildlife (i.e. beaver).
