Citizen Advisory Committee

The managers appoint members to the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) to advise the board on regular watershed business or special projects.

Committee members live in the communities within the watershed boundaries. CAC members can be appointed to the advisory committee at any board meeting throughout the year.

For more information or to volunteer to participate, contact Mike Isensee at (651) 275-7451.

Who is the CAC?

The Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) is a volunteer group of watershed residents who help support the work of the Carnelian-Marine-St. Croix Watershed District. CAC members bring local knowledge, community perspectives, and practical ideas to help inform programs, projects, and long-term planning that protect lakes, streams, wetlands, and groundwater.

The CAC serves in an advisory role—it does not make decisions or enforce rules. Instead, it provides thoughtful input and helps strengthen communication between the Watershed District, its Board of Managers, and the people who live and work in the watershed. Members typically meet a few times per year and participate because they care about the health of local water resources and the future of the watershed.

Interested in Joining the CAC?

The District is currently seeking CAC members to serve a one-year term. Please contact Mike Isensee for more information and an application.
